About Brick Scholars
Bringing STEAM learning to life
Brick Scholars is on a mission to revolutionize education through hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) experiences using the versatile LEGO bricks. Founded in 2015 by Megan Oteri, Brick Scholars has been a pioneer in playful learning, offering engaging programs to learners of all ages. Megan’s passion for education and her commitment to playful learning have driven the development of innovative programs that stimulate creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.
Brick Scholars’ approach is deeply rooted in research-based educational theories, including LEGO’S® Education pedagogy and Constructionism educational theory, making learning a fun and meaningful journey for everyone.

Meet your instructor
Megan Oteri
Megan Oteri is the CEO of Brick Scholars, a mobile STEAM lab that offers programs to children and adults. She is active with organizations that research, promote and advocate for playful learning such as the LEGO Foundation, Play in Education Development & Learning (PEDAL), and the US Play Coalition. She is a sought after speaker and workshop designer for STEAM, LEGO SERIOUS PLAY, design thinking, playful learning, and creativity conferences and workshops. She has worked with PreK to university level students and educators throughout the United States and globally.
Megan has a Masters Degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from East Carolina University and a Bachelors Degree in Special and Elementary Education from Providence College. She is the United States ambassador for the Agency for Cultural Diplomacy.
UPCOMING WORKSHOP
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
Participants build models of their strengths and how they can propel their organization forward. They identify leadership superpowers and learn to adapt their leadership style. The workshop culminates in a shared landscape of the group’s vehicles.
